About Deathsplanation

Deathsplanation was created a space to discuss my PhD research and other associated subjects of interest, which mostly revolve around death (and science).  There are three main sections to the website: blog (general chatter), research (PhD focused), and discourse (monthly updates).

About Me

I am a Canadian currently living in the UK, studying at the University of Sheffield, in the Department of Archaeology.  I have always been interested in the relationship between people and death throughout history and this led to my studying for a BA (Hons) in Biological Anthropology and Archaeology fom Saint Mary’s University, Canada and an MSc in Human Osteology and Funerary Archaeology from the University of Sheffield, England.  You can find out more about my research in the research section, or by visiting by University profile or Academia.edu profile pages.  Aside from my academic interests I am also an avid reader, keen gardener, amateur baker, and all-around jerry-rigger.
